Through the Housing Opportunity Program, REALTORS® help identify, develop, advocate and promote business opportunities, programs, products and resources to expand housing availability for rental and ownership. Lack of affordable housing impacts home buyers and renters as well as rental property owners and developers.
SDR members understand it’s an issue that won’t go away on its own and are committed to helping create affordable housing for first-time purchasers, low-income families, minorities, seniors and disabled individuals. Without reasonable housing opportunities families are stressed to the breaking point, neighborhoods decline, jobs go unfilled and the quality of life suffers for all of us.
