The South Dakota Realtors® advocacy group remains unwavering in championing our industry. At the capitol, we actively push for legislation that supports our cause and passionately challenge proposals that might undermine real estate and property rights. Yet, our influence is most potent when we unite. Partnering with organizations like RPAC and participating in events such as Realtors® Day at the Capitol, we provide our members a robust avenue to elevate their voices and shape legislative decisions. United, we harness the power to drive impactful change.
The REALTORS® Political Action Committee, a voluntary non-profit political action committee, provides members the opportunity to support political candidates who share SDR’s concerns for protecting private property rights, the free enterprise system and issues affecting the real estate industry. RPAC allow you the opportunity to have a collective, statewide and nationwide impact on the election of officials who shape legislation affecting our lives and the way we do business.
Issues Mobilization provides members with the resources to become involved in the public advocacy of issues of significance to the real estate industry. Supported by voluntary contributions from SDR members, all funds raised go to support local/state issue campaigns.
The REALTOR® Party is a powerful alliance of REALTORS® and REALTOR® Associations working to advance public policies and candidates that build strong communities, protect property interests and promote a vibrant business environment.
Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: voluntary contributions made by REALTORS® are used to help elect candidates who understand and support their interests. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of the importance of the political process.
The Legislative Appreciation Night brings State Legislators to thank them for their service to the State of South Dakota in a relaxed atmosphere. For over 50 years, the menu hasn’t changed, Chili and Oyster Stew.
